GRADING CRITERIA

MINT (M)
A MINT ITEM MUST BE ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. PRISTINE. NOTHING ELSE CAN BE DESCRIBED AS MINT. EVEN BRAND NEW PURCHASES CAN BE EASILY FLAWED IN SOME MANNER AND NOT QUALIFY AS MINT. TO ALLOW FOR TINY BLEMISHES, THE HIGHEST GRADE USED IS . . . .

NEAR MINT (NM)
ALLOWING FOR TINY BLEMISHES, THIS IS THE HIGHEST GRADE GIVEN LESS THAN MINT. THE ITEM IS IN EXCELLENT, BEAUTIFUL CONDITION.

VERY GOOD (VG)
RECORDS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION SHOULD HAVE A MINIMUM VISUAL OR AUDIBLE IMPERFECTIONS, WHICH SHOULD NOT DETRACT MUCH FROM YOUR ENJOYMENT OF OWNING THEM. THIS GRADE IS HALFWAY BETWEEN GOOD AND NEAR-MINT. SLIGHT GROOVE WEAR MAY BE PRESENT DUE TO PLAY. LABELS, SLEEVES OR COVERS MAY SHOW SOME SIGNS OF WEAR AND HANDLING; HOWEVER, NO MAJOR DETRACTIONS – TEARS, EXCESSIVE STAINS, OR WRITING – SHOULD BE PRESENT.

RETURN POLICY

THE BEATLES AUTOGRAPHED PROMOTIONAL PHOTO, FEBRUARY 22, 1963.

These signatures are on the reverse of a rarely seen unpublished promotional photograph of the group. Measuring 8″ x 6″, this photo has been signed beautifully by all four members in blue ballpoint. Paul has added “lots of love”, above his signature, which is a very nice touch. In addition, all four Beatles have added “XXX” after their respective signatures. This photo was signed by The Beatles on February 22, 1963, when they were performing at Oasis Club, Manchester, England.

Photo professionally mated and framed. Used Conservation Clear® and Acrylite® technologies. Glass from TruGuard® UV Protection. Framing grade OP-3 ultraviolet filtering.

Accompanied by letter of authenticity from Frank Caiazzo.

LP01. MEET THE BEATLES CAPITOL T-2047 FIRST ISSUE STILL SEALED.

Released January 20, 1964. First Beatles album on Capitol Records! First variation cover (CAP 2047.MC1, Bruce Spizer: “The Beatles’ Story On Capitol Records. Part 2, The Albums”) without the George Martin production credit. Factory #3 on back cover. Record was made by Scranton PA. Original still sealed, 2 factory shrink “breath holes” evident on back cover. Condition: Mint.

LP02. THE BEATLES’ SECOND ALBUM CAPITOL ST-2080 FIRST ISSUE STILL SEALED.

Released April 10, 1964. Second Beatles album on Capitol Records! First variation cover (CAP 2080.SC1, Bruce Spizer: “The Beatles’ Story On Capitol Records. Part 2, The Albums”). The group’s name on the front cover is brownish red. No factory number on back cover. Record was made by Scranton PA. Earliest 1964 “royal blue” inner sleeve visible through mouth opening, indicating this LP was from the very first run. Original factory sealed. 4 factory shrink “breath holes” evident (2 on front cover, 2 on back cover). “Stereo needle damage”print info is on bottom back cover, signifying this is true first issue. Condition: Mint.

LP03. BEATLES’ 65 CAPITOL T-2228 FIRST ISSUE STILL SEALED.

Released December 15, 1964. Fifth Beatles album on Capitol Records! First variation cover (CAP 2228.MC1, Bruce Spizer: “The Beatles’ Story On Capitol Records. Part 2, The Albums”). No factory number on back cover. Record was made by Scranton PA. If carefully viewed, the inner sleeve color of “rust” can be seen, which indicates that this LP was manufactured near the end 1964. The shrink wrap on the cover does have the characteristic “breath holes” commonly found on most original still sealed records from that time period. On the shrink wrap itself is a yellow store code sticker, located in the front-top-left corner of the cover, featuring the words in black inc: Record Runner, 177 Marshall Street, Syracuse, N.Y. 408 College Avenue, Ithica, N.Y. B. Condition: Ex.

LP04. THE BEATLES CHRISTMAS ALBUM APPLE SBC-100 STILL SEALED.

Released December 1, 1970. “Limited Edition” LP, made available exclusively to Fan Club members only, cover read “Not For Sale” on back side. This original authentic cover (APP 100.SC1, Bruce Spizer: “The Beatles On Apple Records”) has sharp images. In the lower left photo of Ringo, both of his eyeballs are clearly visible. Original record was pressed by Capitol’s Winchester. Original factory sealed. 2 factory shrink “breath holes” evident on front cover. Tight seal corner to corner. 3″ piece of shrink missing on back cover bottom edge. Bottom left corner has small push. Due to such a tight seal, tips on all corners have minor wear. Color and images are vibrant and bright. Condition: NM-.

LP05 PLEASE PLEASE ME, PARLOPHONE PCS 3042, STEREO, FIRST PRESSING!

Reliased April 26, 1963. The first pressing! Black label and gold print  with “STEREO” banner printed below the Parlophone logo. “The Parlophone Co. Ltd.” printed at start perimeter print. “Dick James Mus. Co” uncorrect publishing credit “I Saw Her Standing There”, “Misery”, “Do You Want To Know A Secret” & “There’s A Place”. With tax code “ZMT” on the label. Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 94-1; Side 2: YEX 95-1. Stamper numbers: Side 1: 1/R; Side 2: 1/G. Ernest J.Day & Co front laminated cover with large “stereo” on front. Polythene-lined “Use Emitex”die-cut inner sleeve. Some experts believe that it was pressed 900 or over 1000 copies. Extremely rare!

Conditions: cover EX, record VG+, labels VG. Vinyl has a lot of scratches, but plays well no jumps or clicks. However, this should not listen, it is necessary to have in your collection!
