Published March 23rd, 2020

Released October 28, 1996. The Anthology 3 ranges May 1968 to 1970. In the collection there’s a high proportion of material that had never appeared before in any context; of the 50 tracks, only 17 had even appeared on bootlegs. Highlights include demos recorded by the all four Beatles at George Harrison’s home at Esher, an alternative “Get Back” recorded on the roof of the Apple offices, George’s own accoustic demos of songs including “Something” and “My Guitar Gently Weeps” and part of the legendary 12-minute “Helter Skelter” jam, though in had to be cut down to under five. Candid moments are capture from the Let It Be sessions when The Beatles decided to record everything without overdubs and such like.

Set includes: tri-fold sleeve (6 panels, 2 spines), three records and three white paper poly-lined inner sleeves. Vinyl pressed by EMI Records, Hayes, Middlesex.
